Digital certificate for foreigners and non-residents
If you own a Spanish company or investments but live abroad, you need a Spanish digital certificate to deal with the authorities. We tell you what is needed and handle it with minimum travel.
Authorised in-person verification point of ANF AC (Certification Authority). Offices in Granada and Santa Cruz de Tenerife; remote with a notarised signature.
What you need
A valid NIE or passport. For a representative certificate, the Spanish company's documents.
If you cannot travel, the law allows dispensing with your appearance when your signature on the request is notarised (Law 6/2020, art. 7.1); a notary in your country can do it, with apostille where required.

Fee for the service (verification, document review, follow-up and download). Usual validity one year. The card price adds 15% to cover the payment fee.

Frequently asked questions
Who issues the certificate?
ANF AC, a qualified trust service provider, issues it. We are an authorised in-person verification point of ANF AC: we check your identity and documents and process the request.
Do I have to come in person?
The law requires identifying the individual by appearance before the verifier, unless their signature on the request has been notarised (Law 6/2020, art. 7.1). If you cannot travel, a notarised signature in your own country solves it.
How long does it take?
With complete documents and verified identity, issuance usually happens the same or the next business day. Third-party timelines, such as the Commercial Registry, are outside our control.
